Alexander Fernandes - President, CEO, Chairman, Co-Founder
Mr. Fernandes has more than 20 years of industry experience leading companies that develop, manufacture and market high-end digital imaging products, software and hardware, to a broad range of markets. Prior to Avigilon, Mr. Fernandes successfully founded and grew QImaging (Quantitative Imaging Corporation), a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance quantitative digital cameras and software for the scientific imaging and machine vision markets. In 2002, Mr. Fernandes sold the highly profitable and fast growing company to Roper Industries, a multi-billion dollar NYSE listed company.
Brad Bardua - CFO
Mr. Bardua is a Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years of experience in financial management of public and private companies. He has held senior positions in companies operating in mining, oil & gas, hospitality, casino gaming and renewable energy. Prior to joining Avigilon, Mr. Bardua was CFO of Pacific BioEnergy Corporation, a producer of biomass fuel for power generation. Mr. Bardua also spent six years as CFO of Gateway Casinos Group, one of the largest casino operators in Canada, where he was part of the executive team that successfully grew the annual revenue from $80 to $250 million in a very short period of time. In 2007, he co-led the $1.3 billion takeover deal of the Gateway Casino Group to New World Gaming.
Andrew Martz - COO
Mr. Martz holds extensive experience in software development, digital camera design and manufacturing. Mr. Martz has been a key member of several high-profile design teams including: QImaging; Point Grey Research, a worldwide leader in the development of advanced digital camera products; and Electronic Arts (EA), the world’s leading interactive entertainment software company. Mr. Martz is named as the inventor on several pending patents relating to the core of Avigilon.
Bryan Schmode - Executive Vice President of Global Sales
As a security industry veteran, Mr. Schmode is a high achiever who consistently exceeds sales quotas. Mr. Schmode has a long and profitable history of generating multi-million dollar sales pipelines with Fortune 500 accounts and with all levels of government. Mr. Schmode was instrumental to the success of several leading companies in the security industry such as Broadware (purchased by CISCO in February 2007); Verint; and NICE.
Keith Marett - Vice President, Marketing and Communications
Mr. Marett has over 15 years of experience creating and executing successful global marketing campaigns for leading companies including Bell Canada, Suzuki, Starbucks, Canfor and the Government of British Columbia. Mr. Marett managed a number of high profile accounts for Grey Worldwide, one of the world’s largest advertising and marketing agencies that boasts one quarter of all Fortune 100 companies’ as its client. While at Bell Canada, Mr. Marett managed the company’s communications for the wireless division and was instrumental in reshaping the company’s brand in 2009, leading the way to Bell becoming Canada’s leading wireless company.
